The Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, founded in 1967, is an autonomous, special-statute University operating in the field of applied sciences, i.e. law, medicine, agriculture, engineering, political science, economics and management. The Institute of Management (IdM) is a part of the Sant’Anna School and operates in the field of management in private and public organizations. The Institute is organized into three areas, Health Management,Management of Innovation, Sustainability Management (SuM). The mission of SuM is to combine the knowledge of business management and policy making with the principles of environmental sustainability.

Established in Busto Arsizio - Varese - on 7th October 1987 by entrepreneurial associations, trade associations, trade unions, public bodies (Chamber of Commerce, Province and Municipal Authorities) and the credit institutions spread all around the territory, Centro Tessile Cotoniero e Abbigliamento S.p.A. was founded out of the need to support the companies that make up the whole chain in the Textile, Clothing sector, providing highly specialized services, from traditional to technical textiles. With over 70 employees in staff, Centrocot offers highly qualified human resources who can perform technical activities as regards testing, research, experimentation, training and technical consultancy.

The Consorzio dell’Asti obtained its most recent recognition on 10 February 2012 with the publication in the Gazzetta Ufficiale of Ministerial Decree 1778 of 27 January 2012. With this decree, the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forest Policies appointed the Consortium sole executor of the functions foreseen by Legislative Decree 61/10 Article 17, the competences of which consist in pursuing the following functions of: safeguarding, promotion, enhancement, informing the consumer and general care of the interests of the designation.

The Patto dell’Agro S.p.A. was set up on July 28th 1998 in order to manage the Territorial Employment Patc in the Agro Nocerino Sarnese. The TEP are a concrete application of development strategies based on partnership. Partnership in this case means co-operation and collaboration between individuals and powers acting within the same objective: "Sustainable development". During the last 10 years, Patto dell’Agro become the Agro Nocerino Sarnse Local Development Agency. The company’s tasks include the implementation of any activities necessary for the successful development of a process based on local needs, resources and potential by using regional, nation and European funds. The Agro Nocerino Sarnese area is 170 sq.km and a population of around 280.000 inhabitants, it includes 12 Municipalities in the Salerno Province. The company has supported entrepreneurial activities, new independet jobs and an improved standard of living by running projects and implementing ideas.

ERVET – Emilia-Romagna Valorizzazione Economica Territorio is an "in house" society of Emilia-Romagna Regional Authority. ERVET acts as regional development agency and supports Emilia Romagna policies. Fields of actions are: planning and programme, cooperation among Regional Authority and Local Authorities, promotion of sustainable development and environmental qualification of regional territory.

Lombardy Region is one of the most important crossroads for European communication networks and it’s also the most populated Region in Italy. The own matters of the Directorate General Environment, Energy and Sustainable Development are: Air quality, Sustainable development, Industry and, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA); Natural parks, protection of biodiversity and ecosystems, Soil and waste, Water, Energy. Particularly, thinking how to reduce the environmental impacts of economic activities in its territories, Lombardy Region intends to explore the way of increasing resource productivity and decoupling economic growth from resource use than from environmental impacts, by using the life-cycle perspective and the EU methodology: "Product Environmental Footprint".
